With the release of our new album, "Kids in the Back 2" less than 3 weeks away (4.16.11, release show flier is attached) Ill Pill and I thought it was time to release the album intro, "Welcome to the Back" which introduces a lot of the topics and themes of the project. Local photographer, director, and graphic/web designer Michael Pierce (of 253hiphop.com) and I have been talking about working together for a long time and decided this was the right song to build on. We filmed in downtown Tacoma in the theater district, all shots where less than 3 blocks away from my apartment, reflecting the surroundings that inspired a lot of the album.
